Yoshitatsu Shoten has crafted kaiseki chopsticks from Yoshino cedar since the late Edo period.

MURAO
Focused on simple beauty, Murao Furniture designs and makes furniture and utensils they personally desire. They use various kinds of wood from different regions, not limiting themselves to local materials, but all their creations are ‘MADE IN Totsukawa.’ The charm of Murao’s products deepens with use.
Skywood
SKYWOOD’s woodworking products, like unique cutting boards and chopping blocks, highlight the beauty of nature. YOSHITANI
Founded in 1910, Yoshitani Wood Works has inherited the Yoshino region’s kyokumono technique and continues to preserve the traditional craft of “Sanbou” (three treasures), which has been handed down from generation to generation. Taking advantage of the beauty of Japanese cypress and the pulling and bending techniques, the company proposes a culture of shitsurai for daily life under the theme of “From Shinto ritual utensils to new ritual utensils. We offer you a rich and comfortable life with our Japanese heritage technology.
Takanokagu
Takano Furniture creates furniture and art using cedar bark, known for its three-dimensional, robust, and rugged texture. Once widely used for its water resistance in roofs, fences, and exterior walls, most cedar bark is now discarded. They are spreading the newly discovered charm of this precious material both domestically and internationally.
APPLE JACK
Yoshino cedar trees are hundreds of years old and full of annual rings, and the craftsmanship of cutting the wood as thin as possible. Applejack brings you the warmth of wood. Founded in 1927, Morisho Meiboku Sangyo started with polishing logs for high-end traditional Japanese rooms and now handles timber, precious woods, and furniture. Their ‘Shell Shelf’ from MORITO brings the beauty of forest sunlight filtering through trees into your room. Morisho Meiboku Sangyo, under the MORITO brand, aims to nurture forests, protect the environment, and create a society that recognizes the value of the noble work of forestry.
morinobi
morinobi is developing five projects based on forestry and design: Forest growing projects, Human resource development projects, Manufacturing projects, Placemaking projects, and Energy projects. Our ‘NICOMORI’ DIY Cedar Ball Kit utilizes materials sourced during forest path construction, embodying our desire to make the most of the blessings from forests left by our ancestors. ‘morinobi’ is dedicated to nurturing individuals involved with forests and conveying the value of forests to a broader audience, ensuring their preservation for future generations.
Izuru
Using high-quality Yoshino cedar and cypress, Izuru Mokko crafts chairs and wood products. They have created a production kit made of Yoshino cypress in their pursuit of Japanese-style chairs. They cherish the Japanese culture of ‘repair and reuse’ and continue the tradition of sustainable resource creation through Yoshino’s artificial forestry system.
